Sixpoint Wing & Beer Festival at Langosta Lounge TODAY

langosta lounge asbury park

TODAY, Saturday January 29 in Asbury Park  at Langosta Lounge, there is a special Sixpoint event. 4 special beers on tap to be paired with 4 styles of wings! Party starts at noon.  The restaurant is located on the beach at 1000 Ocean Avenue in Asbury Park, NJ and on the web at www.langostalounge.com.

These are the beers and wing styles that are going to be paired up together.

Righteous Ale with Wasabi Teriyaki
Sweet Action with Habanero Honey
Crisp with Thai Chili Lime
Diesel with Caribbean Jerk

The beer descriptions are below and if you don’t know Brooklyn’s Sixpoint you are missing out.  I was at their release party in Jersey a few years back and I haven’t stopped drinking their amazing craft beer selections.

Righteous Ale

The Righteous Ale is unlike nearly all beers which are usually made with malted barley or wheat. This beer uses a proportion of rye in the mash which lends an unmistakable sharp and distinct flavor. Seasoned with pungent American hops, this beer is our designated “beer drinkers” beer.  6.5% ABV

Sweet Action

The Sweet Action Cream Ale is our most basic interpretation of what makes beer great — sweetness from the barley malt and active spice from the hops. It is hazy golden in color, with a sweet honey aroma, and a dry, crisp flavor. 5.2% ABV

Diesel Stout

The Diesel is our version of stout, and with a name like “stout” we needed something with character…something with substance. Something with a deep roasted flavor, something with a full-bodied toffee sweetness. Something with cleansing, citrus, and grassy hop bitterness after every swallow. 6.3% ABV

Sixpoint Crisp

The Sixpoint Crisp is a celebration of all things that make Pilsner beer great: crisp, clean flavors – soft, subtle malt honey and lots of peppery hops. To brew this beer, we sourced a very special floor-malted variety of Moravian malt, found exclusively in the Czech Republic. We then combine this malt with two other proprietary varieties in a simple and unique grain bill, and turn our attention and focus to the hops – in which we source varieties from both the United States and Germany.  An extended cold-lagering phase allows this beer to finish clean, and beckons you for another sip. 5% ABV

Hope that helps, and by the way, the wings are Righteous with Wasabi Teriyaki, Sweet Action with Habanero Honey, Pilsner with Thai Chili Lime, and Diesel with Caribbean Jerk Rub.

    See you Saturday!
