Somers Point: Time for another collab beer. This time it’s happening with the SoPo Brewing. Ed and Kevin (SoPo) enlisted the help of Rich (Team NJCB) to brew a big American Barleywine. The fun part is that they are going to play with a few variations of the beer. Rumors are flying around about a non barrel release in January and a few different barrel treatments to be released for the Somers Point 5th anniversary.
Ed from SoPo sent us this info!
ABV will be north of 10%. We will put some on draft early next year for immediate consumption and plan on bottling the barrel aged beer for our 5th anniversary, April of 2024.
UPDATE – As of January 28, the clean barleywine (non barrel aged) will be on tap at the brewery starting February 4.
We will update more as it comes in!
Cheers for the Non-barrel version. I know a lot of folks like barrel aged beers. I am not one of them. If I want to drink whiskey I will pour a whiskey. JMHO.
