Dark Lager that is aged on winter green leaves. Easy drinking with a mild, slightly herbal and a bit minty wintergreen finish.
A note of history: Before hops were widely used, all sorts of herbs were used to flavor and help preserve beer. There’re many historic beer recipes from the Colonies and England that date from the 1600’s and into the 1700’s that list wintergreen as an ingredient.
With modern brewing techniques and interpretation think of it as retrospective that goes forward.
