The 9 Iron Grille is not just a clever name…. this bar and grill is actually located on the grounds of the Paramus Golf Course in Paramus. I will admit that upon driving up the golf course access road to find the place I was getting the vibe that I was going to be encountering a BMC (Bud/Miller/Coors) operation with maybe some Sam Seasonal if I was lucky. I was dead wrong! Of the 8 taps, only one was one of “those” beers, the other 7 were right on point. Offerings I encountered were Flying Fish Summer, Victory Donnybrook Stout, Otter Creek Copper Ale, Radeberger Pils, Leinenkugel Summer, Leinenkugel Red Lager and another Victory tap.
Also featuring a full menu, the 9 Iron is definitely worth checking out next time your beer travels take you through Paramus. Thanks to its location at the golf course, you can avoid a lot of the bollocks that usually come with the bars on Route 17 and around the malls (especially the high beer prices!) The quiet setting is also perfect for when you want to enjoy some quality brews with your friends and actually hold a conversation while doing so. I did not get a chance to dive too deep into the eats this time around, but word is that the pizzas are outstanding!
The 9 Iron Grille can be found online or in person at The Paramus Golf Course, 314 Paramus Road (btw Midland Road and Century Road), Paramus.
