I finally got a tour of The Iron Monkey. Three floors of beer, seriously. There is the small ground floor bar which has a bunch of taps of rotating, seasonal crafts and a few generics too. Then second floor with a few kegerator lines and some jockey box taps as well and the rooftop bar with more taps. The building is old though and not done being renovated so it is sort of small but the beer selection is great. Matt Cinotti , the beer manager who started a few months back, gave me a quick tour of the facilities. Iron Monkey has been a staple in Jersey City for a long time and recently decided to tell outsiders that they have craft beer.
Every week there’s going to be a featured brewery and the taps are constantly changing. Stop on it and look for Matt.
