Dark Star Orchestra will headline the Rock Hops American Craft Beer Tasting to be held August 11 in Mercer County Park, West Windsor Township. Support acts for this celebration of American Music & Summer Craft Beer include Bernie Worrell Orchestra, Citizens Band Radio, Quimby Mountain Band, Lucid and of course, craft beer!

Rock Hops celebrates the small and independent American breweries and the incredible beers they create. Guests will be able to purchase unique and hard to find American craft beers in the Rock Hops Beer Gardens and/or participate in the VIP Level Tasting session that offers samples of over 40 amazing American craft beers, curated by Beer Journalist, John Holl and Beertography.com Founder, John Kleinchester. The beer list will be updated at the bottom of this article as they are secured.
Connoisseur VIP ticket holders will have preferred parking close to the entrance, an express entrance line to Rock Hops, private bathrooms, VIP Music Viewing Area near the stage, the special Connoisseurs Tasting between 3:30-6PM, and access throughout the day to their own lounge. There will be at least 40 high-quality, American Summer Craft beers, and VIP Connoisseur will be given unlimited 2 oz. tasting pours during this special session.
There is also an all-day Music Pass priced at $35 dollars for those who do not wish to participate in the VIP Connoisseurs American Craft Beer Tasting. Music Pass holders will be able to purchase American Craft Beer by the cup in the Rock Hops beer gardens.
There will also be an assortment of delicious snacks and food offerings coming from 40 feet of flaming grills known as the “Ring of Fire”. The “Ring of Fire” will serve up an incredible selection of char and wood grilled meats, chicken & seafood, a real culinary experience. Vegetarian selections will include the Vegetarian Burrito Bar, Falafels, Nachos, and fresh cut American Fries.

Beer Author and friend of New Jersey Craft Beer, John Holl, will lead a seminar that reveals the important role music has played in the growth of American Craft Beer. From brews made as an homage to legendary musicians, to ales that were inspired by albums, rock gods, and soulful tunes, John will take a look behind the bubbles to see how music continues to shape the course of craft beer.
Jeff Cioletti, editor in chief of Beverage World magazine and writer/producer/director of the indie comedy “Beerituality,” will highlight the demographic parallels on several cities known both for their local music scenes and thriving craft beer culture in these 50-person, first-come, first serve, seminars.
